Fantastic place to stay, such a well equipped cottage with everything you need and a few extras! The owner Julie was really lovely and nothing was too much trouble, she even bought us a fan as the weather was extremely hot! The pool was our highlight, our teenage daughters loved it. Beautifully presented cottage, run by extremely friendly, conscientious,and helpful people. Every need for you and your pet has been thought of and provided for, with many extras included, from dog beds, bowls toys and treats, to a well stocked ladder, books, magazines , and toiletries for you. Quite unusually they are happy to take up to 4 dogs. We took 4 Labradors, who the owners took into their own home and looked after for us whilst we went out for the afternoon. The location is on the edge of a small village with a shop, and 3 pubs/ restaurants. The farm itself has a paddock and lovely raural views. There is also a reasonable sized swimming pool and sauna, which is great to book out for your personal use. Once again your every need has been catered for with towels, vegan friendly shampoo, conditioner and shower gel. We had an excellent week, and before reaching home have booked again for next year! Really great cottage, great location and friendly helpful hosts. Unlike other holiday cottages, the owners here have thought of everything, it is very well kitted throughout. The kitchen even had sharp knives, rare in holiday cottages. Pool and steam room are a treat too. Can't recommend it enough.

We have just spent a week at Kingates in the cottage. We took our two black labs with us and I don't know who enjoyed it most. Julie and Nigel are a super couple who have put an awful lot of thought into what makes for a perfect getaway, and it shows! The cottage was spotless, the quality linen made a very comfortable bed divine to sleep in. The towels are large, the plumbing excellent and the toiletries top notch. Logs are provided for the wood burner, and the welcome hamper was full of country goodies, including Julie's homemade jam. Doggie beds, treats and large water bowl on hand for travel weary pooches...and they are allowed on the throw covered sofa for snuggles! The large enclosed paddock in addition to the garden area attached to the cottage ensured early morning walks were stress free, before heading out to local towns and beaches. We can't recommend too highly.
Special highlight has got to be the welcome given to dogs across the island and Nigel and Julie's thoughfullness.

A lovely short break away for my partners 50th birthday. Kingsgate farm cottage was full of character and charm and was extremely warm and cosy. Our dog usually struggles with settling in a new place, but she made herself at home straight away! This was helped by the abundance of dog toys, treats and comfy mat she had to sleep on. It’s so nice when your furry friends are taken care of as much as you are. Julie and Nigel made as all feel very welcome, giving us lots of information on local areas to visit and good walks to do with our dog. They were very accommodating to our needs, opening the pool for us at different times of the day. The pool area was stunning and very well kept, it made the holiday for our two children.
