Cycling and walking the South Coast route from your holiday cottage
Cycle and/or walk the local Niton Undercliff Drive to Ventnor Botanical Gardens, a great route for all the family!
Two maps below showing the great shady Undercliff Drive, now closed off to motor vehicles, so ideal on your bike and walkers alike.
The first map shows a start/finish at Kingates Farm for cycling, the second shows a parking roadside in Lower Niton between Barrack Shute and the Baptist Church ideally!
There is a place to park and turn around at the Niton end of the Undercliffe road closure if you want to utilise the shade along Undercliffe Drive for a short walk on a hot summers day?
NB: Old maps may show the original coastal footpath on the very sea/cliff edge between Castlehaven and Steephill Cove but it's erroded too much to be used any more, hence the alternative inland route, still with great sea views though!
